Cyber Statecraft - Cyber threats in Latin America

The event convened a distinguished group of civilian and military specialists, including representatives from Brazil’s Gabinete de Segurança Institucional (GSI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-Rio), the Centro Integrado de Segurança em Sistemas Avançados (CISSA/CESAR), and the British Consulate. Discussions, held under Chatham House rules, focused on the complex and evolving cybersecurity challenges facing Brazil and the broader Latin American region. This initiative significantly contributes to the dissemination of knowledge in Military Sciences, strengthens the national defense mindset, and supports the development of critical-thinking professionals vital for addressing key aspects of national development, thereby consolidating ECEME’s reputation as a leading institution in Defense Studies.
